Objects of ISLM
A.
To promote and establish the status of shipping and logistics personnel.
B.
To promote the interests of personnel in shipping and logistics to develop improved methods of working.
C.
(i)
To stimulate and promote the interests of shipping and logistics personnel in acquiring up to date knowledge and higher qualifications relating to their trade.
(ii)
To conduct Certificate, Advanced Certificate and Diploma courses in Shipping and Logistics for Institute Members and the Public.
D.
To hold conferences and meetings for the discussion of professional affairs, interests and the reading of papers, delivery of lectures, to compile and revise registers of the Institute, to issue copies of such papers, lectures and professional records from time to time to Members of the Institute, and generally to collect, and publish information of service or such interests to Members of the profession or similar business and the public at large.
E.
To do all such other lawful things as are conducive and incidental to the attainment of the aforesaid objects and welfare of the Members, including affiliation to a similar body or similar bodies.
